A number of agents that infect lymphatics and blood cause fever, some of which followed by internal hemorrhaging resulting in hemorrhagic fever. All these hemorrhagic fever diseases are caused by viruses that are RNA enveloped and classified as “biosafety level 4 pathogens”. Most of these agents are zoonotic and their distribution is determined on the basis of presence of their natural hosts.
