Concept Introduction:
Earthworm, caecilians and snakes are all included in group eumetazoans characterized by bilateral symmetry and three germ layers. Earthworm belongs to the group annelids. Snakes and caecilians are vertebrate chordates. Earthworm comes under the clade protostomes whereas snake and caecilians are included under deuterostomes. Snakes are classified into class reptilia and caecilians are classified into class amphibia.
