Chapter 21, Problem 1CT
Summary Introduction
To review:
The reason of the gurgling sound at the beginning of the systole.
Introduction:
The abnormal sounds during the heartbeat cycle of a person are known as heart murmurs. These sounds are indicative of any medical condition. The swishing or whooshing sounds besides the normal “lub-dup” sounds of the heart are the heart murmurs. The heart murmurs can be congenital or may develop later in a person’s life.

- Before Leo is released from the hospital, his physician examines him thoroughly one final time. Dr. Tong detects with his stethoscope a high-pitched blowing systolic murmur.
