The vessels that carry and bring back blood from the heart are of different types namely artery, veins, arterioles, venules and capillaries. Veins carry the deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body to the heart and arteries carry oxygenated blood from heart to the rest of the body. Capillaries transfer nutrients and oxygen to the cells.
