Concept introduction:
The animal kingdom is classified into multiple phyla based on the characteristic feature of the organisms. There are mainly nine major animal phyla which are differentiated on the basis of organization of cells and tissues, body symmetry, embryonic development and their DNA sequences. Each group of animal has their own development characteristics. On the basis of development feature, they are divided into protostomes and deuterostomes.
