The equation relating energy and wavelength is as follows:

E=hυ=hcλ.

Here, E stands for energy/enthalpy (in kilo joules), h is the Planck’s constant, υ is the frequency (s1) per second, c is the velocity of light (3×108m s1) meter per second, λ is the wavelength (nm) nanometer.

Greater the energy, larger is its frequency and shorter its wavelength.
