Reptiles are the vertebrate chordates which posses all the unique features of phylum Chordata. The unique feature of reptile is the presence of scaly skin and amniotic eggs which distinct them from other groups of animals. Reptiles include the snakes, lizards, turtles and crocodiles. Birds are also included under avian reptiles.
