The functions of the venous valves present in the limbs.
Introduction:
The blood pressure inside a few veins and venules is low. As a result, they are unable to overcome the gravitational force. For instance, when a person is standing, the blood in the feet needs to return to the heart, for which it needs to overcome the gravitational pull of the earth. As a result, the veins have valves to prevent the backflow. These valves are made up of elastic tissue and helps in unidirectional flow of blood.
