Chapter 22.3, Problem 2MQ
Summary Introduction
A plant and bacterial symbiosis have greater importance to humans in terms of leguminous plants and nitrogen fixing bacteria. These bacteria are freely found in the soil and infect the roots of the leguminous plants to establish a symbiotic relationship. The root nodules are formed after infection of bacteria. At root nodules, the bacteria perform the nitrogen fixation for the plant.
