Introduction:

Plasma cells are also known as the plasmocytes or effector B cells (bone marrow-derived). When B cells are activated, they give rise to daughter cells. These daughter cells differentiate into memory B cells and plasma cells. Plasma cells are capable of secreting antibodies that neutralize the pathogen.
