Concept Introduction:
Essentially all the lipids are amphipathic in nature and include hydrophobic and hydrophilic end. Micelles may be regarded as spherical aggregates of lipids that comprise of the hydrophobic core and an outer hydrophilic shell. This outer hydrophilic shell allows the water-insoluble lipids to be carried across the lumen of the small intestine.
