The surgical removal of the breast to treat breast cancer in the woman is known as radical mastectomy. Breast cancer is characterized by cancer caused in the breast tissues. The symptoms include the change in breast shape, lump in the breast, as well as fluid discharge. Radical mastectomy is a successful method to prevent breast cancer in woman, as all of the cancerous tissues are removed.
