Employment rate or level of employment is the measure to find the number of people or labor resources which are available to work for a certain period of time. It is being calculated as the ratio of employed to working age population.

Introduction: Labor force refers to the part of the population who all are employed and unemployed from the given working age. Labor force does not include the populations who are not looking for the job for example housewives, retirees, and student.

Introduction: The unemployment rate is the share of the workforce that is unemployed written in percentage. It generally increases or decreases with the change in the economic conditions. When economic conditions are good and developing it may be considered that the unemployment rate will decrease and vice versa.
