The arteries that deliver oxygenated blood to tissues of the lungs and the veins that drain deoxygenated blood from the lungs and also the vessels that receive some of this deoxygenated blood.

Concept introduction:

There are two types of blood circulation associated with the lungs, pulmonary circulation and bronchial circulation. The pulmonary circulation includes pulmonary veins and pulmonary arteries. Pulmonary circulation delivers deoxygenated blood to the lung cells and this deoxygenated blood travels to the capillaries of pulmonary arteries. At pulmonary arteries the deoxygenated blood get oxygenated and returns to heart through pulmonary veins.
