Introduction:
The first part of the digestive tract is mouth. The lips, cheeks and palate from the boundaries of mouth. The oral cavity contains teeth, tongue and salivary glands.
Teeth helps to masticate the food, break the food into smaller pieces. It makes the food easier to swallow as well as increase the surface area of action of digestive enzymes.
