Question
Chapter 2.4, Problem 43AYP
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The difference between saturated fat and unsaturated fat, and the term trans fat.
Introduction:
The organic compounds, which are fatty, waxy, or oily are known as lipids. These compounds are hydrophobic, and many of them incorporate fatty acids. The region of the fatty acid having a carboxyl group “head” is hydrophilic, and a long hydrocarbon chain “tail” is hydrophobic.
