Cyanobacteria are blue-green algae that have the ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen by the process of nitrogen fixation. Nitrogen fixation is a mechanism by which the atmospheric nitrogen is converted to the ammonia inside the bacteria for deriving energy with the help of enzymes. If humans develop the ability to fix nitrogen inside their body, then they will not require a high protein diet, which contains amino acids in large amounts. Therefore, the diet of the humans should contain carbohydrates and lipids.
