Search good:
A search good is a good where its features and characteristics can be easily assessed before purchase and more subject to substitution and price competition. Meaning, consumers can verify the product and substitutes elsewhere and ascertain that the products are comparable.
Credence good or service:
These are goods where consumers cannot assess the quality of these even after purchase, making it difficult to ascertain their quality. They do not perform as expected and can cause adverse consequences like financial loss or ill-health.
