HDLs are the high density lipoproteins. They contain a good amount of proteins and have a low content of cholesterol. It is denser than other cholesterol molecules. Its high number is good for health as it culls the risk of heart diseases. It reduces reuses and recycles the LDLs (Low-density lipoproteins) by sending them back to liver for their elimination.
