Question
Chapter 25.3, Problem 2MQ
Summary Introduction
Virulence of the disease causing microorganism is subjected to change under certain conditions. The reduction or complete loss of virulence leads to attenuation of the pathogen. The process decreases the disease causing capability of the pathogen. In laboratory, non virulent strains of the pathogen growth increases as compared to the growth of virulent strains resulting in attenuation of the pathogen.
