Introduction:
A spermatozoon is a single motile sperm cell, a male gamete. It fuses with ova at the time of fertilization to form a zygote. A zygote is a cell that contains a complete set of chromosomes, that is 23 pairs of chromosomes, and in future develops into the embryo. Spermatozoon transfers approx. half genetic information to the offspring.
