Introduction:

The electromagnetic wave is also known as the EM waves.It consists of both electric and magnetic fields. Radio wave also comes under electromagnetic waves having the longest wavelength in the electromagnetic spectrum and frequency from 3GHz to 3kHz .

An antenna is a kind of device that is used to transmit and receive electromagnetic waves. So, an antenna is also called as transmitter and receivers. An antenna is a metallic object and collection of wires. Radio wave contains information that is sent and received through the antenna. The fundamental aspect of radio technology is a transmission antenna. This form of antenna is made of a conductor that holds an electrical current whose amplitude fluctuates over time and transforms it into space-propagating radiofrequency radiation.

On the other hand, a receiving antenna performs the process that the propagation antenna does in reverse. This absorbs radio frequency signals and an electric circuit attached to the antenna converts it into electrical currents.These signals are then amplified on the amplifier and then filter the information from radio waves.

Conclusion:

Hence, antenna holds and transforms electric information(signal) through radio waves and it receivesthose same radio waves at the receiver end by amplifying the signal at the amplifier.
