Concept explainers
To define:
The term ‘Metamorphosis’, ‘Pupa’, ‘Nymph’, and ‘Caste’.
Introduction:
Insects are the most different group of creatures in animal kingdom.
Explanation of Solution
Metamorphosis:
A cycle by which creatures go through extraordinary, quick actual changes sometime after birth is known as metamorphosis. It is a natural cycle by which a creature physically develop after birth or hatching, including a prominent and moderately sudden change in the creature's body structure through cell development and separation.
Pupa:
Pupa is a life stage in the improvement of insects displaying total transformation that happens between the larval and grown-up stages. During pupation, larval structures separate, and adult structures, for example, wings show up unexpectedly.
Nymph:
A nymph is the youthful type of certain spineless creatures, especially insects, which goes through progressive transformation prior to arriving at its grown-up stage. In contrast to a commonplace larva, a nymph's general structure as of now takes after that of the grown-up, aside from an absence of wings.
Caste:
The caste is a subset of people inside a society of social creatures that is had practical experience in the capacity it performs and recognized by anatomical or morphological contrasts from different subsets.
