Chapter 26.4, Problem 3CC
Summary Introduction
The rotavirus belongs to the family Reoviridae, causes severe diarrhea that results in dehydration and death when left untreated. For this reason, this virus has been studied extensively to understand its life cycle and pathogenesis. The rotavirus virions composed of 11 segments of double-stranded DNA that are enclosed by three concentric protein layers. These virions are non-enveloped.
