The demographic transition model explains that economic and cultural changes in countries as they industrialized led to decreased birth and death rates. Under a demographic transition model, a country’s population growth is considered as a temporary phenomenon which occurs when a country transitions from one state of development to other. Pre industrialization, industrialization and post industrialization are the development state of a country.
