Sexual response cycle in humans has four phases: (i) excitement, (ii) plateau, (iii) orgasm and (iv) resolution. All the four phases are a cyclic event followed by the other. Resolution is the phase after the orgasm where the genital organ tension is relaxed and resume to its original normal position.
