Concept Introduction:

Trinucleotide is a nucleotide consisting of three mononucleotides in combination.

Two nucleotides are joined by a phosphodiester unit.

A phosphodiester unit connects the 3'-oxygen of one nucleoside to the 5'-oxygen of the other nucleoside.

Nucleotide sequence is read in such a way that it starts at the free 5'(CH2OH group) end and proceeds towards the free 3'(OH group) at the other end.
