Chapter 2.8, Problem 1MQ
Summary Introduction

Archaeal and bacterial cells often comprises various inclusion bodies. Inclusion bodies present in a cell can be easily visualized using a light microscope. These inclusions are bound by a thin membrane, which separates it in the cytoplasm. The chief role of cell inclusions is to serve as carbon reservoirs and/or energy reserves. Storage of carbon molecules in such insoluble form aids in the reduction of osmotic stress.
