Pollination is the process of spreading and dispersal of pollens from the anther of a flower to stigma of the same or the other flower. If the pollination takes place in same plant that is if the pollens are transferred on the stigma of another flower but on the same plant then it is known as self pollination. However, if the pollens are transferred from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower that is on the other plant then this type of pollination is called cross-pollination.
