Yellow fever is caused by the yellow fever virus belonging to the family Flavivirus. It is usually transmitted through the bite of mosquito Aedes aegypti. This disease is predominant in the tropics such as South America and Africa but not in Asia. The general symptoms of the disease include fever, chills, nausea, loss of appetite and muscular pains.
