Boiling point of a liquid is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the surface of a liquid becomes equals to the pressure exerted by the surroundings of the liquid. Stronger the forces of attraction between the atoms involved in the bonding, higher is the energy required to break the bond which results in a higher boiling point.
