Concept Introduction:

Branching in polymer occurs when one hydrogen atom is replaced using an alkyl derivative. Naturally, the alkyl derivative will have certain hydrogen requirements. This can lead to formation of a similar structure as that of the backbone in polymers. Based on this ideology and an example, we will discuss how the branch can have similar molecular structure as that of the polymer backbone.
