Interpretation: The percent $\text{Si}$ by mass in ${\text{SiH}}_{\text{4}}$ is to be calculated and its comparison with percent $\text{Si}$ by mass in ${\text{Si}}_2{\text{H}}_6$ is to be done.

Concept introduction: Silane is used in the electronic industry to manufacture thin films of silicon. Mass percent of an element is defined as the way by which the concentration of an element in a compound is expressed and it is calculated when the molar mass of the element is divided by the total molar mass of the compound and multiplied by hundred.

To determine: The percent $\text{Si}$ by mass in ${\text{SiH}}_{\text{4}}$ and its comparison with percent $\text{Si}$ by mass in ${\text{Si}}_2{\text{H}}_6$.
