The rules that are used for determining the chemical formula are as follows :
The naming of the compound is based on whether the compound is molecular. Generally, it ends with the suffix -ide.
When writing the formula of an acid, we mostly place ‘H’ first & write (aq) after the formula to indicate the compound is an acid when dissolved in water.
