Question
Chapter 3, Problem 9FI
Summary Introduction
Introduction
Our five senses form the basis of perception. Using these senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell), we experience the world around us. The specifics of how we experience the world, and the reason we all experience it slightly differently, is due to our differing perceptions of events happening around us. In addition to the five classic senses, we also possess several other lesser known senses. Among these is the vestibular sense. Using sensory organs found primarily in the semicircular canals of the ears, the vestibular sense allows our brains to understand whether or not we are upright.
