Summary Introduction

Plague belongs to the category of Zoonosis and is responsible for a high mortality rate in humans. “Yersinia pestis”, a gram negative bacterium is responsible for causing plague in rodents. Several different forms of plague are found in anthrax and humans. “Bubonic plague” is the majorly observed in humans. The untreated form of bubonic plague can lead to the death of the individual in a short span of time.
