Territory is the specific area which consists of resources like food and potential mates which could easily and continuously be defended from the trespassing of other members of the same species. It is a behavior of many animals to develop a territory.

Territories differ in size and depend on the animals and the particular environment.

When an animal adopts and controls a physical area against other animal of the same species, it is known a territorial behavior.

There are different types of territorial behaviors:

• Verbal signals
• Chemical signals
