Introduction:
Cytology or cell biology refers to the branch of biology concerned with the scientific study of the structure and function of cells. In 1839, cell theory was proposed by Theodor Schwann and Matthias Schleiden. All living organisms, from simple (e.g. bacteria) to complex (e.g. human), are made up of cells (one or more) and its products. Cells are regarded as the simplest unit (structural and functional) of life. Cells are made only from previously existing cells. Cellular membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm are the three major components of a cell.
