Summary Introduction
To differentiate:
Ectotherms and endotherms.
Concept introduction:
Ectotherms are organisms in which internal physiological sources of heat are small or negligible. They regulate their body temperature by exchanging heat from their surroundings. They are called as cold-blooded animals.
Endotherms are organisms that maintains their body at metabolically favorable temperature. They are called as warm-blooded animals. They do not depend on environmental temperature.
