Introduction:
There are two types of vascular tissues present in most plants: xylem that is found involved in the transport of water along with the minerals from the roots to various parts of the plant and phloem, which is involved in the transport of food. Xylem is composed of tracheids as well as the vessel elements, while phloem has sieve tube elements and the companion cells in it.
