Question
Chapter 3.4, Problem 1MC
Summary Introduction
To explain:
The way in which the organelles help eukaryotic cells compensate for a small ratio of surface area of volume.
Concept introduction:
Each cell have a surface area to volume ratio, this helps a cell to obtain water, oxygen and other nutrients from the surrounding environment. A small volume also enables a cell to excrete the waste more easily. Eukaryotic cells are large in size than prokaryotic cells thus have a large surface to volume ratio.
