Interpretation:
The Lewis structure of water has to be drawn.
Concept Introduction:
Step-1: Use
Step-2: Determine the number of valence electrons associated with each atom and combine them to determine the total number of valence electrons in the compound.
Step-3: Connect the central atom to each of the surrounding atoms with single bonds.
Step-4: Place electrons as lone pairs around the terminal atoms to complete the octet.
Step-5: If the octet rule is not satisfied for all the atoms, move one or more lone pairs on a terminal atom in to make a bond with the central atom.
Step-6: If that satisfied with the Lewis structure a final electron can be performed.
