Introduction:

The chemicals which are metabolized by an enzyme-catalyzed reaction are an enzyme's substrate. Enzymes decrease activation energy by binding their substrate and put pressure on the chemicals by reducing initial energy. The substrate binds a specific region called an enzyme's active site.
