Distance Traveled
The distance a vehicle travels can be calculated as follows:
For example, if a train travels 40 miles-per-hour for three hours, the distance traveled is 120 miles. Write a
Hour | Distance Traveled |
1 | 40 |
2 | 80 |
3 | 120 |
Input Validation: Do not accept a negative number for speed and do not accept any value less than 1 for time traveled.

- Python Coding-While Loops (In PyCharm Community edition) Create a while loop that SUMS up ALL the numbers given from an initial number and an ending number. Example would be : Input1 : What is the first number? 0 Input2 : What is the last number? 3 DO NOT SHOW but these are the computations inside the code : 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 This is the Output : The sum of all the number from 0 to 3, is 6 In the code you are going to use a total variable and add each additional time it runs through the loop to that total. REMEMBER the assignment from the first unit of programming where we used this formula : BUT you are going to create your own method using a while loop to emulate what formula accomplishes WITHOUT using this formula. The user will put in the first number and the last to be SUMMED - you will use the while loop to calculate all of the additions leading to the final number.arrow_forward[Calculate grades’ average for a student] write a program that calculates the student grades’ average for a semester for the number of courses taken in that semester. Your program should do the following: 1.Read from user the number of courses (n) 2. Then, read the courses’ grades for n times (Hint: use a loop) 3.If a grade is grater than 100 or less than 0, ask the user to enter the grade again. 4.Calculate the average of grades using the following formula: average = (sum of grades) / n 5.Print out the average grade on the screen. Note: Always use appropriate data types.arrow_forwardWrite a while loop that will let the user enter a series of integer values and compute the total values and number of values entered. An odd number will stop the loop. Display the number of iterations and the total of the values after the loop terminates. for Loop Write a for loop to display all numbers from 13 - 93 inclusive, ending in 3. Write a for loop to display a string entered by the user backwards. do Loop Write a do .. loop for the random number dice problem from Chap Three. Add a counter variable that is used to count the number of times this code is executed in the loop and stops after 5 times. roll = rand.nextInt(6) + 1; System.out.println(" Roll = " + roll); ctr++; using javaarrow_forward
- 1. In the first loop, the low number will be the starting point for the loop and thehigh will be the ending point. The loop should display the iterator number andthat number x 10 on the same line, separated by a tab. See example on p. 177.2. The second loop should accumulate all the numbers between the starting pointand ending point. You will need to create and initialize an accumulator such astotal before you start the loop.arrow_forwardThe distance a vehicle travels can be calculated asfollows: distance = speed time. For example, if a traintravels 40 miles per hour for 3 hours, the distancetraveled is 120 miles. Write a program that asks the userfor the speed of a vehicle (in miles per hour) and howmany hours it has traveled. The program should then usea loop to display the distance the vehicle has traveledfor each hour of that time period.arrow_forwardBudget Analysis (Running Total)Write a program BudgetAnalysis.py) that asks the user to enter the amount of money that he or she has available to spend on electronics this year. A loop should then prompt the user to enter each of his or her expenses for electronics and keep a running total. When the loop finishes, the program should display the total amount that the user spent, and analyse if there is still money to buy more electronics. Here are two test runs of the program: Enter your available amount for electronics in 2020: 1500 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): 340 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): 450 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): -1 So far you spent $ 790.0 You can buy more electronics. >>> ========= RESTART: C: \Users \Rita \Desktop \Lab5-1 B BudgetA Enter your available amount for electronics in 2020: 900 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): 730 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): 290 Enter your expense (-1 for stop): -1 So far you spent $ 1020.0 No more electronics in…arrow_forward
- Question: Average score Write a program that uses loops to collect data and calculate the average score over a number of tests for a number of students. The program should : 1. first ask the user to enter the number of students in the range of 1 to 10. 2. then the program asks the user to enter the number of tests (in the range of 1 to 5) 3. Then use a loop to collect the scores for those many tests for each student. The outer loop will iterate once for each student. The inner loop will iterate several times, once for each test. Each iteration of the inner loop will ask the user to enter the score for a test of a student. 3. After all iterations, the program should calculates and display the total scores and average score for each student. Output all odd numbers between firstNum and secondNum. c. - Using c++Random Number Guessing Game Write a program that generates a random number between 1 and 100 and asks the user to guess what the number is. If the user’s guess is higher than the random number, the program should display “Too high. Try again.” If the user’s guess is lower than the random number, the program should display “Too low. Try again.” The program should use a loop that repeats until the user correctly guesses the random number. Then the program should display “Congratulations. You figured out my number.”arrow_forwardC++ programming Write a program that reads the grades of 3 students in three different courses and displays the average grade of each student in these three courses, as well as the average grade of all students. The program should start by asking the user how many floors the hotel has. A loop should then iterate once for each floor. In each iteration, the loop should ask the user for the number of rooms on the floor and how many of them are occupied. After all the iterations, the program should display how many rooms the hotel has, how many of them are occupied, howmany are unoccupied, and the percentage of rooms that are occupied. The percentage may be calculated by dividing the number of rooms occupied by the number of rooms.
