Resolution refers to the ability of distinguishing two adjacent objects with accuracy. If the resolution is better, the obtained image will also be better. The increase in the numerical aperture of microscope increases the resolution of the microscope. The numerical aperture is increased by the use of immersion oil by increasing the resolution of the image.
