Tropism in plant displays the movement of a plant in response to environmental stimuli. Plants usually show their maximum growth towards the water and light because they need these sources for their growth. There are four different types of tropism: phototropism (movement in response to light), gravitropism (towards gravity), thigmotropism (toward mechanical stimulation) and hydrotropism (toward the water).
