Chapter 48, Problem 5PL
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Blood Pressure (BP) is measured by using two numbers. An average blood pressure of the human is 120/80 mmHg. The systolic pressure is the analysis of the pressure in the blood vessels (arteries) when the heartbeats. Systolic pressure is identified by the first upper number. The diastolic pressure is the analysis of the pressure when the heart relaxes between beats. Diastolic pressure is identified by the second lower number.
High blood pressure is another name for hypertension. It can provoke serious health complexities and increase the risk of stroke, heart disease, and sometimes death.
