The central nervous system (CNS) of body controls the involuntary breathing actions. The rates at which the person inhale or exhale changes according to the requirements of body. During strenuous work, breathing rates are elevated and kept normal when the body is at rest. There are various changes that take place in motor neurons and respiratory muscles with respect to the change in requirements of oxygen by the body.
