Skin is formed by different layers which get affected or damaged with different degree of burns. Burns are categorized based on how deeply they harm the skin, which is commonly caused by U.V radiation, thermal burns and hot water or acid spills. They are classified according to the involvement of tissue, the appearance of the lesion, relative risk and treatment.
