Normalization is mainly used for two purposes. They are:

  • Reduce or eliminate redundancy in the database table.
  • Ensuring data dependencies.

Importance of Normalization process:

  • The normalization process is important while creating a table in the database, because the process will eliminate the redundancy of data in the database table.
  • The normalization process is then applied to each relation and the extra relations are created.
